A Dalit woman was beaten in Tarkeshwor municipality-5 Goldhunga. 28-year-old Kalpana Sunuwar of Dhunibesi rural municipality-3 Nuwakot currently residing in Tarkeshwor municipality-5 Goldhunga was beaten by 31-year-old Rita Ale Magar who also resides in the same place. Sunuwar lodged a complaint against Ale at Metropolitan Police Kathmandu on April 1 accusing her of beating her on March 31. She also reported to the police that, Ale Magar repeatedly intimidated her in the past for being a Dalit. Sunuwar is nine months old pregnant. Police are further investigating on the incident.
