Ward member arrested on charge of beating engineer

Ward member Dawadorje Tamang of Lisankhupakhar Rural Municipality-1 was arrested from Kathmandu on April 7 on the charge of beating engineer Kapil Shrestha of the same rural municipality by entering into his office premises. He was beaten over a dispute on making Bhyangchup Sempa Gumba. The engineer was beaten after he denied to payment of Sempa Gumba on April 1.
The staffs of Lisankhupakhar Rural Municipality are on strike since April 2 against the incident. The absconding accused was arrested from Kathmandu according to police. He was sent to District Police Office in Sindhupalchok.
