A group of locals lead by Nepali Congress chairperson for ward 5 of Devghat municipality padlocked the ward office of Devghat municipality-5 on Monday citing discrimination by the ward chairperson in development work.
The group lead by Congress leader Purna Bahadur Kunwar padlocked the ward office saying that the ward office had not gravelled the roads at Bhuwantar and Gohitar tol of Devghat. Locals complained that the ward chairperson had only focused on developing his area.
