Students have staged a demonstration near Singadurbar gate in protesting indifference by the education minister towards the demand of a group of students on Tuesday.
The students requested an appointment with the time of minister to submit a memorandum relating to 391 students from 42 different colleges who were being barred from sitting for examination by Pokhara University. These colleges had admitted the students with grades below "C" against the minimum standards of Pokhara University but these students were not permitted to appear in the exam.
The students tried to put the photo of the education minister and a chair resembling that of the minister on fire.
