A girl from Butwal was raped. The victim's parents accused Madhav GC, ward chairperson of Butwal Sub-metropolitan-11, Srijannagar of rape. The incident came into light recently however it took place on March 13.
The victim said that the accused took her in a scooter by threatening that if she didn't come with him, he would kill her and her family too. The accused then raped her in a jungle nearby Motipur Industrial Area.
Two local women rescued her in unconscious condition and took her home. According to DSP Dil Bahadur Malla, police have arrested the accused.
The victim's family were forced to hide the incident by the ward chairperson. Initially, they were even offered 2 lakhs and 50 thousand rupees to conceal the incident, informed the victim's mother.
