Nepal Student Union padlocked the campuses affiliated with Pokhara University in Kathmandu on Tuesday protesting the publication of exam schedule without resolving the case of 391 students. The students were admitted against the minimum admissions standards and they are now denied to appear in the exam.
Issuing a press release, Chetaraj Kandel, secretary of the Central Coordination Committee of NSU Pokhara, said that the colleges had to be padlocked after the University administration did not take any action to solve the problem within the ultimatum period.
The union said that they would padlock the campus until the minimum standard for student enrollment was kept and until the proper justice would be done to those admitted students against the standard.
