Family members and relatives of a deceased child vandalized Chitwan Medical College in Bharatpur Metropolitan City on Saturday, blaming negligence on part of the hospital for the child's death. 9-year-old Rupson Ghimire, son of Gorkha Bhujel, was admitted to the hospital on April 12. He died on April 26 while undergoing treatment in the hospital. Relatives and family members vandalized the main gate of the hospital on Saturday.
Local administration later deployed police at the hospital for security reasons. The boy's father Rupesh lamented his son's death due to hospital negligence. He said, " My son was absolutely fine until April 15, but his condition deteriorated and had to be put into ventilator after the hospital gave him an injection on the same day. Now he is no more."
