Pratap Rana, the treasurer of Federation of Nepalese Journalists and the chairperson of Federation of Nepalese Indigenous Journalists, has alleged that Ramesh Baral, ward secretary of Bhimad Municipality-5, had mistreated him. According to journalist Rana, he was mistreated by ward secretary Baral when he had gone to the ward office for a news piece on 30th April.

Rana, also distirct representative of Kantipur Television had gone to the ward office to enquire about reported exploitation of natural resources.
