Locals of Khokana and Bungamati protest government's 'development' plans

Thousands of people staged a demonstration on Friday against government's development plans that would destroy places of cultural importance in Khokana and Bungamati in Lalitpur sub-metropolitan city.
Mass rally that started from Bungamati ended in a people's assembly in Mangalbazar. Representatives of Bungamati and Khokana discussed the reasons for the protest in the assembly.
