Police on May 3, arrested 65-year-old Dhanlal Bal Tamang, of Miran rural municipality-2 in Sindhuli on the charge of rape. Tamang, a witch doctor staying and practicing at Chobar Bhangyang, Lalitpur metropolitan-18,  allegedly raped a 10-year-old girl on May 3, taking her to a bush. Locals caught Tamang in action and handed him to the police.

According to DSP Narayan Chimoriya, police have initiated action against the accused based on the complaint filed by the victim's family on May 3.

The victim underwent a medical examination at Patan Hospital on May 3.
