Police have arrested a person from Myagdi on the charge of attempting to rape a 5-year-old minorgirl.

District Police Office Myagdi said police arrested 32-year-old Nil Prashad Pun of Raghuganga rural municipality-4 Dagnam on the charge of attemtping to rape the 5-year-old minor girl on Monday afternoon while she was alone. He reportedly lured her to bathroom by offering her rupees 30. The minor girl's elder brother heard her crying in the bathroom and found that Pun was about to rape the minor girl. He then escaped by kicking the minor's brother. Police later arrested him after the victim's mother lodged a complaint against him. 

Inspector Dhruva Prashad Sharma of District Police Office said the accused is being remanded into custody for 3 days by the order Myagdi district court for further investigation.
