Locals of Nawalparasi staged a demonstration against Police after police raped 2 women including a teen.

According to locals, a 17-year-old teenager and 26-year-old woman were raped by junior policemen Prem Khadka and Patesor Yadav, deployed at Nawalparasi West Police on 14 April.

The victims' family filed a complaint against the accused duo a few days after the incident. Locals staged demonstration against police personnel after the news of the incident became public.

According to the District Police Office, Nawalparasi, Superintendent, Birendra Thapa, attempt to rape case was filed against both accused after the complaints lodge by locals. Both of the accused have been suspended already he added.
