Police have arrested 24-year-old Utsab Gupta, a permanent resident of Shivachowk, Janakpur municipality-4, Dhanusha currently living at  Bojopokhari, Mahalaxmi municipality-3, Lalitpur on the charge of holding captive a 15-year-old girl and raping her.

 According to DSP Gautam Mishra, the victim's family filed a complaint against Gupta on April 22 at Satdobato  Police Station after the 15-year-old girl went missing from April 21. The girl was found on April 26 at Bojopokhari, Mahalaxmi Municipality, Lalitpur.

 The complaint was lodged against accused on 26 April at Metropolitan Police Station, Satdobato by the victim's family. Police arrested Gupta from his house on May 20 said, DSP Mishra. The victim was taken to different places by accused raped her, he added.

The health treatment of the victim's held at Patan Hospital, Lalitpur.
