Police arrested 33-year-old Santosh Thapa Magar on May 24 on the charge of beating 31-year-old Pabitra Thapa Magar of Godawari municipality-3 Leninthok.
Police arrested Santosh on the basis of a complaint lodged by his sister-in-law Pabitra at Satdobato Police on May 23. Pabitra reported that Santosh kicked and beat her on the night of May 21 due to which she miscarried and lost her. She also sustained serious injury in different parts of her body in the attack.
Santosh also reportedly beat his elder brother during the day on May 21 on the way and later beat his sister-in-law at home. The accused perpetrator is a Nepal Army soldier and was into a feud over family property with his elder brother.
Pabitra is undergoing treatment at Patan hospital in Lalitpur.
