A woman who was traveling to Mahendranagar from Dhangadi in a public vehicle has been beaten by the driver of the vehicle.

Police arrested Gokul Bohara, the driver of the vehicle bearing plate number Se 1 Ja 1094 on the charge of misbehaving and beating Laxmi Dhanadi, a passenger on the bus on Friday afternoon at Mahendranagar's traffic chowk during a dispute about fare.

Police arrested the driver and started investigation into the incident on the basis of a complaint give by the woman.
