Police have arrested 25-year-old Baleshwor Yadav and 55-year-old father-in-law Shankar Yadav on the charge of killing 20-year-old Bimaladevi Yadav of Pipra rural municipality-1.
Police arrested Bimala's husband on the basis of a complaint filed by the maternal family at District Police Office, Mahottari on May 29, according to Inspector Science Basnet.
Bimala died on May 28 in a suspicious condition. She was found dead hanging at her house.
After being reported by Bimala's neighbours, police seized Bimala's body while the family were preparing to secretly cremate it. Police sent the body for post-mortem at Jaleshwor hospital the same day. Meanwhile, Bimala's father Kamalesh Yadav lodged a complaint of murder against her family. Police are looking for the deceased's mother-in-law and sister-in-laws who were also accused of being involved in her murder.
