A person has killed his wife for allegedly calling unknown number in Dhanusha. 22-year-old Rahamat Rayin of Sabaila municipality-4 killed his wife Nur Jahan Khatun on May 31 accusing her of calling unknown person. Police arrested Rahamat on Sunday. He had gone on the run after killing his wife.

During police interrogation Rahamat confessed to killing his wife. He also said that he had run into dispute many times in the past with his wife over her calling unknown person. He said that he killed her after she did not stop calling. Police are further investigating on the incident and have extended his remand through the order of Dhanusha District Court.
