Tension ran high at Kankai Hospital of Jhapa after the death of a woman on Wednesday.
Tension ran high after relatives protested with the dead body of 29-year-old Devika Tamang of Suryaudai Municipality-9, Fikkal, Ilam, who was admitted to Kankai hospital for treatment.
Tamang, who was hospitalized for appendicitis last Wednesday, died on Sunday.
Tamang, who has appendicitis was initially admitted to the Kankai Hospital. Until Sunday morning, the team of doctors said that the condition of the patient is normal, but at 8 am, the doctor said that the condition had worsened and referred to Biratnagar.
According to Father Dawa Tamang, Devika died on the way to Nobel Hospital of Biratnagar on ambulance of Kankai Hospital on Sunday morning.
On the same issue, relatives of the deceased have been protesting against doctor Santosh Kumar Mishra with the deceased's body demanding action against the doctor.
At present, the condition of the Kankai Hospital is stressful and the patients are not being treated as all the doctors of Kankai have gone elsewhere. A large number of police have been deployed in the Kankai Hospital. The hospital has not given any official information about the incident.
