The locals blocked the Rangeli Road in Biratnagar on Tuesday morning after the death of a 12-year-old child in a road accident by milk carrying van near Gadiya River.

The deceased is identified as 12-year-old Mohammad Jawar of Dhanpalthan Rural Municipality-4 and two others are injured in the accident.

Locals said that the accident took place due to the negligence of the driver. The obstructed road was opened when the police promised to take the driver into action.

The van of NMC Dairy Industry, Jhapa hit 12-year-old Mohammat Jawar, 18-year-old Mohammat kaif, 15-year-old Afsar Ansari of Dhanpalthan Rural Municipality-4 at 6:00 am morning.

Three who were seriously injured were taken to Neuro Hospital Biratnagar for treatment.

The hospital declared Mohammad Jawar dead. DSP Ghanshyam Shrestha of the District Police Office, Morang said that two persons have been treated at the same hospital.
