Youth arrested on charge of rape

Police arrested 18-year-old Rupak Bhandari alias Jeevan, on June 11 on charge of raping 17-year-old girl. The victim filed a complaint at District Police Office on June 10 stating that the accused raped her in the pretext of marriage.
The victim shared that the perpetrator raped her multiple times from March 2018 to June 9, 2019. According to SP Bel Bahadur Pandey, investigation regarding the case is ongoing.
