Police on June 12 arrested 46-year-old Gyanendra Prasad Yadav on the charge of attempting murder on 35-year-old sister-in-law, Prativa Yadav, with a pair of scissors in Bode Barsain Municipality-2.
Gyanendra Prasad Yadav is also accused of beating his 40-year-old brother Dipendra Prasad Yadav. On June 10, the victim's side filed a complaint at Area Police Office, Kalyanpur stating in a domestic dispute, Gyanendra Prasad Yadav, his wife 45-year-old Nilamdevi Yadav and his sons 23-year-old Abhishek Kumar Yadav and 21-year-old Nimesh Kumar Yadav attacked the victims with sharp weapons on June 8. The Area Police Office, Kalyanpur has registered a complaint on June 10.
The injured Prativa suffered injuries to the head and right ribs while Dipendra sustained injuries to various parts of the body including the head, chest, and back.
Two pieces of iron from scissors have been removed from Dipendra's back. Police informed injured are being treated at Nobel Hospital, Biratnagar. Other victims are absconding.
