The tornado victims of Bhulahi Bharwaliya in Pheta Rural Municipality, picketed the Office of Pheta Municipality on Monday after their names were excluded from the list of the victims. The tornado victims also clashed with the supporters of the rural municipality's chairperson.
According to police, Shri Prasad Baitha sustained injuries on his head and some furnitures of the rural municipality office was vandalized in the incident.
Superintendent of Police Sanuram Bhattarai of Bara said that the dispute took place after the residents of Bharwaliya whose names were excluded from those requiring assistance in construction of the house, reached the Pheta Rural Municipality office to picket office.
Baijnath Prasad of Bharwalia said that the names of the victims were not included in the list for the construction of houses damaged by the storm.
He said locals whose names were not included in the lists padlocked the ward office.
