Arrested on the charge of rape

Police arrested a man on the charge of raping a 14-year-old girl in the pretext of marriage. 19-year-old Birendra Koli, a permanent resident of Dadeldhura and currently living at Mahalaxmi Municipality-6 Sanagau, Lalitpur, was arrested
DSP Gautam Mishra of Metropolitan Police Circle Satdobatoka said the 14-year-old who was missing since the evening of June 15 was rescued by the police from Koli's room on the basis of a complaint filed by her family.
The rescued girl gave a statement to DSP Mishra stating that the accused took her to his room in the pretext of marriage and raped her.
The police informed the investigation is underway.
