Area Police Office Kanchanrup registered a complaint on June 17 against a 16-year-old teenager on the charge of raping a 15-year-old teenager.

 DSP Mahendra Kumar Mishra of the Kanchanarup Area Police Office said that the accused had been arrested after the complaint from the victim.

The accused worked as a laborer in Kathmandu. He said that he had eloped with his lover on consent on April 28 to Kathmandu and that the girl had filed a complaint on pressure from her parents.

The victim underwent a medical examination at Gajendranarayan Singh hospital on June 16.
