On Thursday, egg-producing farmers padlocked the central office of Nepal Egg Producers Association situated at Narayangadh.
Protesting against the unusual decrement of egg price, they padlocked the office. They also vandalized Association's President Trilochan Kandel's chair.
They demonstrated using placard with slogans such as demolish the useless association, immediately call for general assembly, increase the price of eggs etc. If their demands will not be addressed they will continue the protest, they said. More than 200 hundred farmers were involved in the protest.
According to Rajkumar Shrestha, President of West Chitwan Egg Producing Farmers' Group, in order to adjust the diminished value, the attention of public representatives including Pushpa Kamal Dahal was dragged.
The farmers had demanded to ascertain the costs which would let the farmers' get their investment amount back.
