Arrested on the charge of sexual abuse

Police on June 24 arrested 51-year-old Surja Prasad Giri of Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City-11 on the charge of sexually abusing a 9-year-old girl. Police arrested him on the basis of a complaint lodged by the victim's mother at Area Police Office Butwal. In the complaint, the victim's mother stated that the accused abused the girl on June 23.
DSP Bhimlal Bhattarai of the District Police Office said that action has been initiated on the basis of the complaint filed.
The victim underwent a medical examination at Lumbini Provincial Hospital Butwal onJune 23.
