Police have arrested 32-year-old Gopal Bhandari and 31-year-old Bimal Dhakal of Urlabari-3, Morang on the charge of raping a 30-year-old woman on June 27.

According to DSP Lilaraj Lamichanne of  District police office, Tanahun they arrested  Bhandari and Dhakal from Byas Municipality-3 Damauli after the victim lodged a complaint on June 27 at District Police Office, Kaski. DSP lamichhane said the victim had lodged a complaint accusing the truck driver Dhakal and his conductor Bhandari of raping her at Byas municipality-12, Chirkane on June 26.

The victim went to Pokhara on the same day and filed a complaint at the District Police Office with the help of relatives. Health check-up of the victim has been done at Damauli Hospital on June 27.
