Torch rally organized against death from police firing

A torch rally was organized in Ishorpur Municipality on Tuesday evening protesting the death of Saroj Narayan Mahato in police firing.
Mahato died after being shot by police in a jungle in Banke. 12-year-old Amit Raya died from drowning in a river in Banke. The locals staged the rally in presence of Provincial Assembly Member Upendra Mahato and House of Representative Member Pramod Sah, protesting the death of Mahato and Raya.
The protesters put forth different demands including the deceased to be announced martyrs, the closure of crusher industry operating near residential area, and stopping of illegal sand extraction.
