Police on July 3 arrested 20-year-old Posh Bahadur Shrestha of Umakunda Rural Municipality-6, Ramechhap. Shrestha who has been working as a tractor driver in Jiri was arrested on the charge of raping a 15-year-old girl.

Police arrested him on the basis of a complaint lodged by the victim's family to the Police on July 1. In the complaint, the victim's family stated that the accused raped the girl on June 15.

The victim underwent a medical examination at the Primary Health Center Charukot on July 1.
