Police arrested 42-year-old Dev Narayan Kapad or Chandranagar Rural Municipality-6 on Thursday morning with a homemade gun and 1 round of bullet on the charge of robbery. 

A group of unidentified persons robbed Rs. 1,37,000, almost 30 grams of gold from 36-year-old Nikhul Mahato's house. Similarly, the group robbed Rs 2,50,000 and 110 gm of gold, and 1.5 kg silver.

The police team deployed from Area Police Office Bardibas and Police Office Kishannagar arrested Kapad with the weapon after receiving information about robbery. 

The police are searching for the others involved in the incident. Further investigation is underway.
