63-year-old Tufani Chaudhary of Sarawal Rural Municipality-6 Naudihawa has filed a complaint against sub-inspector Ramsingh Chhetri and constable Taimullah Dhobi of local police post accusing them of beating her. 

According to the elderly woman, the two policemen arrested her from her home on July 4 in connection with a complaint about a land dispute with her neighbour Koili Chamar and Sohan Prashad Teli of Ramgram Municipality-2 and beat her in custody.

She sustained injuries in the beating and underwent a medical examination at Prithvichandra district hospital.

DSP Birendra Thapa of the District Police Office said that the incident was under investigation. He has vowed to take necessary action after investigation and said that Tufani's son who is an APF personnel is also reported to have manhandled police.
