Police on July 4 have arrested 20-year-old, Nishan Adhikari permanent resident of Pachkhal, Kavre and currently living at Mahalaxmi Municipality of Changathali on the charge of raping a 17-year-old girl.
Metropolitan Police Circle Chief Gautam Mishra said the girl, who was abducted on a bus in Gwarko, was kept as a hostage in a room at Changathali and was raped by pointing a knife.
The family of the girl, who managed to escape in the toilet, filed a complaint to the police on July 4.
The accused was arrested from Changthali on July 4. Misra said an investigation is underway.
