An incident of rape of a 25-year-old Dalit woman of Khadak Municipality-3 was made public on Thursday. The woman shared that the incident happened on June 5, the day of Eid-Ul-Fitr but she didn't file a complaint earlier because the accused had threatened to kill her if she did. 

The incident surfaced after a local informed the police based on suspicion and a team from Area Police Office Kadarwona reached the victim's house to collect information. Police arrested 45-year-old Mohammad Miya for his involvement in the incident. 

The victim shared that Miya took her to a mango farm and raped her while she went to collect fodder. 

According to DSP Bhavesh Rimal, Spokesperson of District Police Office Saptari, further investigation is underway.
