Locals of Ghodaghodi municipality ward 5 and 7 started protest after the electricity was not extended in their area from long time ago. On Sunday, they padlocked the ward offices of ward 5 and 7 demanding extension of electricity lines to their area. They also chanted the slogans and demanded dismissal of Ghodaghodi rural electricity cooperative.
Ghodaghodi rural electricity cooperative was established on 2012 with the aim of extending and distributing electricity line in Ghodaghodi area. The cooperative had also taken 15 hundred and 25 hundred from each house at that time with agreement of extending electricity line in one year. Locals started protest after the line was not extended after 8 years of the agreement. Man Bahadur shahi, a local resident of ward no.5, Ghodaghodi said they will do strong protests if the problem of electricity is not solved on time.
