NSU student leader arrested during a protest in Pokhara

Police, on July 15, arrested NSU cadre 31-year-old Pashupati Bhattarai, a permanent resident of Tanahu currently living in Pokhara Municipality-31, during a protest in front of Prithivi Narayan Campus in ward number 1 of Pokhara Municipality.
Nepal Student Union had staged a torch rally in protest of police intervention during their padlocking program of the Free Student Union's Office. DSP Raj Kumar KC said that Bhattarai was arrested for investigation. Three student leaders and a policeman were injured during the protest and all of them have been discharged after general treatment at Fishtail Hospital.
