The relatives of 30-year-old Radha Budhathoki Khatri of Sunarpani in Manthali Municipality-6 filed a complaint against 33-year-old husband Lekh Bahadur KC for assaulting Radha. They filed the complaint on July 16 citing that Radha was mercilessly beaten and thrown in the street on the night of July 15. Inspector Sheikh Court of the District Police Office said that legal proceedings have been taken on the basis of the complaint. The victim was immediately rescued by villagers and taken to Tamakoshi Cooperative Hospital in Manthali for treatment. The injured woman has sustained injuries in her neck and spine, according to the hospital.
