The locals of Jumla assaulted Ward Chairperson Kali Bahadur Rawat of Patarasi Rural Municipality ward no.4 on Wednesday accusing him of involvement in illegal trading of herbs. The locals also chased the police who came to take the situation under control.
The locals staged a protest against the ward chairperson claiming that he was involved in the illegal trade of herbs from the community forest. They chanted slogans and demanded the resignation of the ward chairperson.
