Family members of a 4-year-old girl in Kapilbastu have filed a complaint of rape against 18-year-old Nasir Hussein of Yashodhara Rural Municipality-2 Bhadehara at District Police Office on July 27 accusing him of raping the minor girl.

According to the minor girl's family, Hussein raped her by luring her with chocolate on July 26. She was later found unconscious and was taken to the district hospital in Taulihawa for medical examination. The girl's condition is said to be stable.

Police are meanwhile looking for the accused who is on the run. The victim's family has reported facing pressure to settle the case in the village.

DSP Debendra Pande of District Police Office said, settling the case in village would have no legal basis. He further informed that police had already started an investigation into the incident.
