A complaint was lodged against 25-year-old Santosh Kumar Yadav of Agnisair Krishnasarawan rural municipality-5 on July 30 at Area Police Office Kanchanrup on the charge of raping a 25-year-old woman.

According to DSP Bhawesh Rimal of District Police Office Saptari, the victim stated in her complaint that, Yadav raped her on July 24 luring her with prospects of a job. Police are looking for the accused who currently remains on the run.

The victim underwent medical examination at Rajbiraj based Gajendra Narayan Singh hospital on July 25.
