Police, on August 3, arrested 19-year-old Suman Panthi of Madane Rural Municipality-7, 25-year-old Suraj Panthi of Ghurkot Rural Municipality, and 32-year-old Om Bahadur Khatri of Resunga Municipality-4 on the charge of gang-raping 15-year old and 17-year-old girls.
DSP Min Ghale said that the victims lodged a complaint on August 2 stating that they were raped. Relatives of the victim reported to the police of the disappearance of their daughters since August 1.
SP Deepak Basnet said the victims were found in Tamagas on August 2. According to the victims, they were raped for two days and were molested before too. Police said the victim underwent a medical examination at Gulmi hospital on August 2.
