27-year-old Jamana Damai of Khandachakra municipality-2 lodged a complaint against her husband 30-year-old Charitra Damai on August 5 at District Police Office Kalikot, accusing him of subjecting her to domestic violence.

Jamana sustained serious injury near her eye when her husband hit her with a iron rod on Sunday night. She is undergoing treatment at District hospital Kalikot.

DSP Binod Sharma of DPO Kalikot said, police were preparing to arrest and investigate the accused following the complaint.
