Police arrested in-laws of a 19-year-old woman from Saptrai on the charge of her murder. Police arrested 45-year-old Liladevi Yadav and 55-year-old Mahendra Yadav of Agnisair Krishnasawaran rural municipality-3 on the charge of murder of their 19-year-old daughter-in-law Ranjudevi Yadav. Ranjudevi was 3-months pregnant. 

According to DSP Bhawesh Rimal of DPO Saptari, police registered murder case against the arrested couple on the charge of strangling Ranjudevi to death. She had already died when she was brought to Rajbiraj based Gajendra Narayan Singh hospital for treatment on July 21.  Her brother Ramsewak Yadav lodged a murder complaint after finding marks on her neck and injury in different parts of her body.
