Police arrested Prakash Kumar Yadav, a police constable stationed at Temporary Police Bit Shreechaur, on the charge of raping an 18-year-old girl by promising to marry her. The victim's side has alleged Yadav of raping the girl in the jungle while she had gone there to collect fodder. The victim's father had caught Yadav red-handed on the act.  The victim, with the help of women rights activist, filed a complaint of rape at District Police Office. The victim has returned home after undergoing a medical examination. 

"The sex appears to be consensual and the case seems to have come to the surface after victim's father came to know about the relation," said DSP Puspa Raj Malla.
