Police arrested four people including a 35-year-old Indian national, Sanjay Mandal, from Lalipur sub-metropolitan-14 on August 24 on the charge of raping two girls, 8-year-old and 16-year-old respectively. Among the arrestees were the brothers of the victims.  According to the police, the accused had been sexually abusing the girls for last 3-4 months but they only received information about it on August 23. 

The police informed that the rape case was filed against all four of the arrestees.
