On August 26, after the government broadcasting Radio Nepal in Dipayal, Doti fired three of their media person, the opposition started a protest against it. The reason behind their expulsion is not yet explained. However, it is believed that they were expelled due to their political beliefs.
According to the expelled media persons, "they were expelled due to their democratic beliefs". The Doti branch of Federation of Nepalese Journalists protested against the expulsion by holding frequent sit-ins at the gate of the Radio Nepal Pradesh Broadcasting Center.
