Police on August 26 arrested 38-year-old Shyamlal Chaudhary aka Sagar of Gadhawa rural municipality-6 on the charge of sexually abusing a 42-year-old woman.

The woman had filed an oral complaint at Gadhawa police on August 10 saying that Chaudhary sexually abused her on August 9. Police had earlier attempted to settle the case by holding a meeting between the perpetrator and victim's party on August 11. Police arrested Chaudhary after the victim later lodged a formal complaint against him at Area Police Office Gadhawa on August 19. 

Police are further investigating the incident. The victim underwent a medical examination at Lamahi hospital on August 19.
