35-year-old Rambabu Yadav, journalist affiliated to 'The Public Today' National Daily Mahottari, has been beaten by 45-year-old Rajnarayan Mahato of Gaushala Municipality-4, Rajkhor regarding a news publised by Yadav about Mahato. Yadav being treated at a local clinic in Gaushala.

The victim, journalist Yadav said, Mahato and his brothers beat him for publishing news about Mahato's assault and torture on his second-wife on April 30. They accused him of defaming Mahato. Yadav sustained injuries on his mouth, nose and back in the attack. 

Following the incident, Ramnarayan Mahato, publisher of 'The Public Today' filed a complaint against 45-year-old Rajnarayan Mahato, 42-year-old Jai Narayan Mahato, and 40-year-old Jaikishor Mahato. 

Police have started investigation into the incident by arresting Rajnarayan Mahato. He is being held into custody at Area Police Office, Gaushala.
