A dead body of a woman who appeared to be murdered by slitting her throat was found near a road in Mahagadhimai Municipality-8, Bara on Wednesday morning. Locals called the police after seeing the body.

The deceased woman is estimated to be around 30-year-old and appears to dress in Muslim attire. According to Bara's Police Spokesperson Ranjit Singh Rathore, the identity of the woman has not been established.

The victim's body has been kept at Kalaiya Hospital after post-mortem. In the spot of the incident, a team including Bara's Police Chief Sanu Ram Bhattarai, DSP Ranjit Singh Rathore has deployed a security dog for the investigation of the site.  

Police spokesman Ranjit Singh Rathore said that further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
