Police, on September 8, recovered a corpse of an approximately 25-year-old woman from Kajara River which divides Dakneshwori Municipality-8 and Rajgadh Municipality-1. The torso was found trapped in the tree while the head was found in a paddy field, a hundred meters away from the torso, said SP Krishna Prasai. The post-mortem of the body could not be done in Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital on September 9 because the dead body is rotten, said Doctor Rajendra Prasad Das. He recommended that the dead body be sent to a specialist for post-mortem.
The body was found some three meters away from the Indian border, so someone could have disposed the dead body from India to here, said SP Prasai. We only knew about the corpse through the pungent smell, he said further. It can be inferred from the nature of the dead body that the dead body is least a month old, he further added.
