A person has been arrested in Udayapur in connection with the mysterious death of his wife.

Police arrested Min Bahadur Darlami Magar of Katari municipality-7 on Monday after his 45-year-old wife Chitrakumari Darlami Magar who was found in serious condition in jungle died during the course of treatment.

According to Police, severely injured Chitrakumar was taken to Katari Hospital first, from where she was referred to Biratnagar. She later died while undergoing treatment.

The victim's maternal side has claimed that she died because of her husband's beating. Some people from her village claim that she got injured after falling down from a hill while collecting fodder in the jungle. 

According to Police Office, Katari there was no such hill to fall down from nearby the spot from where the victim' was found, therefore they are assuming she might have died of her husband's beating. 

According to the Area Police Office, Katari, police have started investigation into the incident by arresting the accused on June 24.
